IMIZAMO YETHU (“The People Have Gathered”) is a documentary film produced in association with UNICEF’S INNOCENTI RESEARCH CENTER.

On South Africa’s Eastern Cape, Thandeka is a single mother raising two children while still in high school. Her life has changed since she met Ruth, one of four extraordinary women united by their passionate work and enduring hope for change within their communities.  Together they will work to provide their children with opportunities that they never had and break the cycle of poverty.  This is their story.
